Crawl 2 Sequel Set to Begin Filming in Europe with New Cast


Paramount Pictures is gearing up for a sequel to the gator horror film Crawl, with director Alexandre Aja set to return for Crawl 2. The new installment will introduce a fresh set of characters in a different location, this time in New York City, as reported by THR.

Production on Crawl 2 is expected to kick off in Europe this fall, with Aja not only directing but also producing alongside Craig Flores and Sam Raimi. The script for the sequel will be penned by Andrew Deutschman and Jason Pagan, known for their work on Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension and Project Almanac. The original Crawl, starring Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper, was both a critical and commercial hit, grossing $91 million on a budget of $15 million.
